27 Children and Counting

 This is my best friend, Levi. He's my 3 year old nephew. I don't know if I've ever loved someone more (sorry mom and Amber, hehe).

For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a mom. When friends would ask me how many kids I wanted I would say, "at least 7, hopefully 11, hopefully 27!!"

I wanted to get married when I was 18 so I could start fulfilling that dream, but here I am at 25, single as a slice of Kraft American Cheese, yet, I'm extremely thankful for these past 7 years of experience that have helped me gain more education, develop relationships I wouldn't have had otherwise, and embark on some traveling adventures for lifelong memories.

Still, that desire to be a mom is strong, and I sometimes am tempted to lose hope, but am determined to hold out strong, knowing I have a loving God watching over me!

Divorce seems to becoming more common, and birth rates are declining, and both those are having a negative affect currently, and will in future years too.

In "The Family: a Proclamation to the World" it says;

"...We warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.

We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society."

By all means, no one need to have 27 children to be a great person, I would, however, like to bring to attention the importance of strong families in these trying times!

The intent is not to offend, but share data, statistics, and personal thoughts and beliefs on the subject.

Well wishes to you,

Ashley Marie
